Asus has quietly revealed that its Zenfone 7 series will – finally – be launched on August 26th. This phone series has been expected for quite some time, since Qualcomm announced already in February that the latest processors will power this device.
The countdown on the video stream page published by the official Asus Taiwan YouTube channel shows that the launch will be at 07:00 BST on that day.
As for the technical specifications and features, there were not a large number of pre-releases on the phone. The inclusion of the word “series” in the launch date practically confirms that there will be more than one device in the series.
We expect at least one of these phones to be the powerful flagship, and this one, as we know, will be equipped with the Snapdragon 865 processor.
It will be interesting to see if it has any outstanding quirky features. If it resembles last year’s model with its unusual fold-out camera, it will certainly have at least one topic of conversation.
Rumor has it that we will see a large 5,000 mAh battery with 30 W fast charge, but otherwise the rumor mill is relatively quiet.
Fortunately we don’t have to wait long until Asus lets the cat out of the bag and initiates us into his next (hopefully affordable) flagship smartphone.
